Classic "Beef" Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 package of Veggie Ground Round (Yves) OR Beyond Beef

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 2 tsp garlic salt

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste

  • Hot sauce, optional

  • 1 package of small flour or corn tortillas

(*use corn tortillas to make this meal gluten free)


Garnish

  • Lettuce

  • Tomatoes

  • Red onion

  • Vegan cheese

  • Hot sauce

  • Fresh lime

Preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Crumble your Yves Veggie Ground Round or Beyond Beef into your pan and add your chili powder, paprika, cumin and garlic salt. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.

  2. Add your coconut oil and tomato paste and cook for another 3 - 5 minutes. Taste and adjust flavouring. Option to add some hot sauce.

  3. In the meantime, prep your toppings and heat your tortillas up in another pan on the stove.

  4. Assemble your tacos and serve warm with loads of fresh toppings. Enjoy!
