Caramelized Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus

  • 4 Tbsp vegan butter

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Rinse and snap off the bottoms of each asparagus stalk.

  2. Melt butter in a large skillet and add asparagus. Sprinkle sugar over top of the asparagus.

  3. Sauté over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes or to your preferred doneness. After 5 minutes, squeeze over your fresh lemon.

  4. Serve immediately while asparagus is bright, hot, and crisp
