Ingredients
1 block extra-firm tofu
1 head broccoli, chopped into florets
3 cups cooked rice
Sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp ginger, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
1 Tbsp corn starch
2 Tbsp water
Preparation
Cook rice according to package.
Cut 1 block of firm tofu into bite sized squares and toss in corn starch until lightly coated.
Add some sesame oil to the skillet, then add the tofu and put it on medium-low heat for 5 minutes, mixing often. Remove when lightly golden.
For the sauce, in a small bowl combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, corn starch and water. Whisk well.
In a separate pan steam the broccoli.
Return the tofu to the warm pan and pour the dressing over top. Cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until tofu begins to caramelize. Add the broccoli and stir for another minute.
Serve warm over rice and enjoy!
